ABOUT US

The name Rosten comes from our two beloved mothers Rochelle and Kirsten. This project is dedicated to them.

Meet the Muses
Rochelle and Kirsten

Both of our mothers fearlessly battled breast cancer for a majority of our lives. Although they have now passed, their strength and courage are something that we still take with us through every obstacle life hands us. Spending quality time with loved ones was extremely important to both our moms. So, we are very excited and so grateful to be able to turn our passion for winemaking into a product that brings loved ones together over an engaging glass of wine.

Meet Jonah

Hello everybody! Although I grew up in Paso, wine was never really a part of my life. My love for this industry began during the harvest of 2022 when I started making wine at home. Throughout the next year I couldn’t wait until the harvest of 2023 when I decided to take the big leap and purchase my first ton of grapes. It was through that wine project that I was introduced to the true camaraderie that Paso has. I was mentored through this project by the amazing teams at Booker and Levo, and through this mentorship, the idea of Rosten Wines became a reality. My goal for our label is to produce wines that are true representations of the vineyards they come from. I hope you enjoy, Cheers!

Meet Gianna

Hiya! Being born and raised in Paso Robles I am no stranger to the camaraderie Paso's wine industry has and I am so eager to grow into this industry in my hometown. I am on my way to receiving an education through UC Davis and their Winemakers Certificate Program to receive proper education on enology and viticulture. Jonah & I have the next several harvests planned out for the Northern and Southern hemispheres which we are so stoked for! I have discovered winemaking to be a huge passion in my life and I am so very grateful to be able to start this learning journey so early in life and to pour everything we're learning into Rosten Wines. My goal for this project is to make wines that bring people together to enjoy a glass of our captivating Rosten Wines over good food and great company. I am so eager to share moments like this with you all soon, Cheers!

UPCOMING PROJECTS

G2N Vineyard

Coming up for our project in 2024 we have acquired Syrah from the coveted G2 North vineyard located in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. This vineyard site continues to gain recognition for harvesting some of Paso's best fruit next to G2 another site the acclaimed owner Bill Gibbs farms. From a geographical stand point the vineyard is a stone's throw away from the legendary James Berry Vineyard. We are looking forward to working with this complex Paso Syrah planted on a very unique site that will no doubt add character and depth. Stick around to see what we make of this beautiful Syrah.

Armory Vineyard

We will also be working with this beautiful Grenache from the impeccably farmed Armory Vineyard located on the far West side of the Adelaida AVA in Paso Robles. Armory is completely dry-farmed and meticulously cared for by owner/farmer Will John. Our Grenache is Alban clone and planted on a steep north-facing block, helping shade our vines during the hot summer temperatures while also allowing them to ripen consistently ultimately resulting in long hang times and good concentration in the berries. This will be our second year working with Will, and we are so excited to show you why this vineyard is so special.
